worldclassmusic.live was founded by Mel Puljic, a serial music entrepreneur on three continents: in South Africa, in the UK and in the US.

After graduating from South Africa's leading law school in the 90's, Mel launched multiple record labels and secured exclusive deals with leading independent labels from the US, UK and Europe such as World Circuit, 4AD, TVT, PIAS, Mr. Bongo and others. Mel’s domestic labels signed South African artists at the dawn of post apartheid South African, many of whom would become chart-topping and/or SAMA-awarded artists such as Urban Creep, Henry 8, Battery 9 and many more.

In New York, in the early 2000's, Mel founded an independent sales and marketing firm, Rerooted, which served the European export offices of Sony, Universal and BMG in various album and product catalogue campaigns. Rerooted was responsible for sales and strategy of titles by Fela Kuti, Seu Jorge, Cesaria Evora, Salif Keita, Gal Costa, Jorge Ben, Souad Massi, Khaled, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Caravan Palace, Rachid Taha, AR Rahman, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and hundreds more.

Now based in Chicago, Mel also leads the awesome company, a boutique performing artist agency; SuperPosition, an events social media marketing company; and Nepantla Nights, an Afro-Latino artists concert producer and promoter.
